Ownership is determined by title or deed
And not by performance or need
Some say kinship is the strongest bond on earth
But it is confirmed by a certificate of birth
Yes even your spouse
Who'll share much more than your house
Though a choice of a special sort
Is ascertained through legalities of court
But FRIENDSHIP alone
Is judged by what cannot be shown
And with sanctity from above
Is maintained only by love
A moniker synonymous with you
Is a title bestowed on but few
This decree will now end
By dubbing YOUR FRIEND’S NAME HEREFRIEND
I love you, YOUR NAME HERE
